San Diego

John and I got to take a trip to San Diego for my niece's wedding. We had a wonderful time although we both agreed it was way too far to drive for the two days that we had there. The first day was just him and I and it was so fun to hang out together - I have missed him a lot lately - We toured the USS Midway, watched ships on the ocean, had lunch at The Fish Market, rode the trolley, walked through Old Town and visited the Mormon Battalion Museum. The second day we got to spend at the Temple and hang out with my family. It was a very special day and even though it was a really long drive, I'm glad we got to celebrate with Kristi and Chase. The San Diego Temple is absolutely gorgeous - Definately a favorite!

Dolphins in the bay

This is neat - In memory of Bob Hope
John was super excited to get to eat at The Fish Market. It was fabulous - The food was great and the weather was perfect for eating outside right on the water. We got to watch lots of ships and boats come and go!

Destroyer ship -

We were told that there are four of these for every aircraft carrier and that you do not want to mess with one of these!

USS Midway -

A definate must see if you are ever in the San Diego area. I have a whole new appreciation for those who serve on the water for months on end. This ship is amazing - absolutely HUGE!
