One of the neatest experiences we had was when the girls pulled John across the river in the handcart. They were struggling a little bit - It was kind of tough for them and there was three of them pulling! They had eaten a good breakfast, they are strong and healthy, they had a good nights rest and the weather was sunny and warm. My heart was full of admiration for the pioneers who suffered so much yet never gave up hope. I am so grateful for my heritage and for the sacrifices my ancestors made to come to a place where they could worship and live in peace.
I am also extremely grateful for my Mother and Father-in law and their willingness and desire to serve a mission. It was a wonderful experience to have them share this place with us and for the extra special treatment we received from all of the missionaries. They shared so many wonderful stories of these pioneers and their profound faith in the gospel of Jesus Christ.

WOW! Looks like a great place. I love that the girls got to experience what so many pioneers did on a daily basis. I think that would be a great place to go.
