Savanna had her fifth grade Halloween Party yesterday. It's always hard to decide what to dress up as so we went to the costume store in the mall to try to find something or at least get an idea. Everything we saw was just not quite right for one reason or another. So, I was asking her if she wanted to be this or that and then I said well, what about a mummy and I told her how we could do it. She was totally fine with the idea and was a really good sport. (She's knows that Halloween is my very least favorite holiday.) It took me an hour to wrap her up and I thought I was doing a really good job. So, when she gets home from school I ask her how it went? She was pretty mad - said her costume was dumb - So, I'm asking her what? What's the matter? She said she had barely got to her classroom and it was coming off. What can I say? I tried - And she looked really good when she left the house but I just have to face the fact that I'm just not a good Halloween mom!
