We had a wonderful Holiday Season and enjoyed doing a few different service activities. One of the neatest experiences we had was volunteering at The Road Home. This program is geared to helping invididuals and families work at getting off the streets and into a home. On the night we helped they were having a radio-o-thon where different radio stations were broadcasting live to generate donations. Our job was to accept the donations that people came to drop off. It was such an awesome experience and it was absolutely AMAZING to see the donations made. It was very obvious in some situations that the people donating did not have much themselves and yet there they were. We've decided that this will be a new yearly tradition for our family.
