The Christmas Spirit!

This is such a special time of year. There's such an awesome spirit in the air. I think this season brings out the better in me. I have enjoyed the month since Thanksgiving. I have had the shopping done for a while so I've just wrapped and done things as I've had time and have just been able to enjoy instead of rush, rush, rush. I went and helped a sweet lady that I visit teach put up her Christmas decorations and it was fun to have the time to remember Christmas's past with her. Then we took the youth Christmas caroling and it was so cold but it reminded me of the days when we used to go as a family in Luna. I wonder if the people enjoyed having us come or if they were amazed that we had the guts to keep coming back year after year. Regardless, my Mom and Dad taught by example the principle of serving. One of the things that I want to work harder at this next year is being more aware of those around me and recognizing when there is an opportunity to serve.
